And so we come to a special summer episode, featuring content from two of our favourite summer festivals here in Edmonton — the Folk Music Festival and the International Fringe Festival. So I guess that either makes this show a season two postscript, or else a season three prequel. I’ll let you decide. Here’s what we have in store for you…

    The East meets West / Chinatown Festival is celebrating Chinatown Centennial on Saturday, August 20th on 99 Street and 107 Avenue from noon to 8:00 PM. There will be cultural shows, traditional Chinese opera, dancing, martial arts for those who want to experience some of Chinese’s cultural heritage and get some nice pictures they can be worthwhile.

    At the food corner there will be bubble tea, green onion cakes, spring rolls, noodles, Chinese bakeries etc.

    At the arts and crafts corner you will find face painting, the balloon guy, caricature, photos display, crafts and clothing and more.
