You’ll recall a few weeks back, we announced that the Unknown Studio’s season finale would be recorded live before a studio audience.
The only issue with this is that generally our studio is Scott’s basement. And while it’s a terrific, sound-proof nerd-cave that we always have a great time in, it’s not really conducive to comfortably seating more than, say, half a dozen people.
We haven’t settled on an exact date of the show yet — we’re looking at the latter half of June right now — but I can tell you that after an intense negotiation filled with fist-pounding, posturing, a brief break to silently consume stale Timbits, and then signing on a dotted line, the Jay and his wonderful crew over at Happy Harbor in Downtown Edmonton have agreed to host the show in their store.
You might be thinking Edmonton’s finest comic book store is a strange space to stage a live recording of Edmonton’s talk-show podcast. And you’re not wrong. But if Scott and I have proven nothing else in our almost-three years on the air, it’s that we like to embrace the strange. Unless Strange is virulent or infectious. Then we just fist-bump Strange and offer him soup.
Be sure to block of the entire second part of June. And if you’ve never been to Happy Harbor before, memorize this map.
