Girlfriends and Lesbros | S03E16
A new website launched in Edmonton a month or two ago, one created by and for lesbian, gay, transgendered, bi, and queer people… and “everyone in between.” The site is the brainchild of Terah Jans and Janelle Aker, who some of our listeners might recognize on yonder Twitters.
IDigYourGirlfriend.com was originally just a Twitter account and a Tumblr… But as Janelle and Terah dug deeper into queer issues, they a saw a need to provide a platform for more in-depth discussions about queer issues. We’ve enjoyed the content they’ve been posting to their site (and we’re just a couple of a geeky hetro dudes), so we had them on the show to talk all about the site, what they’re hoping to achieve and how much fun it’s been so far.
We also have a couple of stories from May’s Story Slam, as well as an interview with Nathan Richards, the head organizer of Edmonton’s 3rd Annual Open Sky Music Festival. Here’s the breakdown:
