Phone calls and coffee shops | S04E03

While Scott is away on a long-delayed honeymoon, I’ve been left with the keys to the studio. And that means no “typical” in-studio interview this episode. But Scott’s absence, while exceedingly lonely, gave me the opportunity to get out there and chat with people. And since it seems that this week, there’s tons of stuff going on in Champion City, I spoke with Kandrix Foong organizer of Edmonton Expo; Matthew Dykstra one of the co-organizers of Extra Life Edmonton; and Ryan Ro, a local musician and Unknown Studio alumnus.

Here’s the episode breakdown:

  • 0:00: Intro – “Loneliness”
  • 2:43: Kandrix Foong and the first annual Edmonton Expo
  • 12:22: Extra-Life with Matthew Dykstra
  • 27:57: Ryan Ro on music and his album At Last My Dear
  • 50:44: “Melancholy Green,” track 2 from Ryan’s album
